![]() Similarly, Owen has also been shown to have been pretty mischievous with his higher privileges, with acts including pigging out at a camp’s buffet table and gluing his uncle’s toupee onto a goat’s posterior - both shown in his “Aftermath: O-wen or Lose” tirade, and him having noted he often feels ignored in “Trial By Tri-Armed Triathlon”. In his TDI biography, Owen is confirmed to be the youngest of three brothers (something “Aftermath: O-wen or Lose” would contradict), making him the baby of the family, and this opened him up to getting away with some things - such as making him eager enough to do others’ dares for pancakes and getting a fishing bowl stuck on his head - twice! He considers it to be the funnest place on Earth - out of things like free meals three times a day and getting to hear his own farts echo across the lake. Regarding the in-show background, Owen auditioned for Total Drama out of the joys of going to a summer camp. I will include both kinds, but my focus will mostly be on the teenage Owen. ![]() ![]() There are two versions of this character - an adolescent version and a toddler version. While some people may have grown tired of the big guy, I still find Owen to be an engaging and interesting individual - ranging from his crazy yet humorous exploits to help his peers to his underlying friendliness and loyalty to his friends/teammates out, making him an inspiring and enjoyable stand-up figure and even giving him some growth in valuing things like hard work and being a true friend. This time, we’ll be looking at the franchise’s practical mascot character - the food-loving, friendly, eccentric and optimistic goofball - Owen! Having been a major character in five of the franchise’s eight iterations thus far, Owen has made his presence well-known, and he’s arguably become one of the most popular characters with both his in-show peers and the staff. (It's actually yellow, but he spilled some gravy on it.For today’s character analysis, we make our return to the Total Drama franchise. In fact, he's proud to say he has a brown belt in Judo. Owen's friends know him as "The-guy-who-will-do-anything-on-a-dare-especially-if-his-reward-is-all-you-can-eat-pancakes." This comes in handy for anyone who needs their dirty work done for them. He doesn't care who you are, if you like to party he'll be your best bud. It did.) Regardless of his faults (and there are many) Owen's got a lot of heart. (He did it again last week to see if the same thing would happen. (Let's just say it's safest to keep him away from open flames after a bean chilli cookout.) As a child, he once shoved his head into a fish bowl just to see if it would fit and got stuck. ![]() He really gets fired up about the things that come out of his own body. If there's one thing that Owen likes more than anything else, it's his own smells and sounds. Unless scratching yourself and eating things that make crunchy sounds count. And since he's "the baby" of the family, his parents let him do whatever he wants - which isn't usually much. Being the youngest of three boys really takes the pressure off of Owen having to do anything with his life. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he has more optimism than an arena full of Maple Leafs fans during the play-offs. ![]()
